Sundre Parade

Last weekend was the Sundre Parade. It is the kickoff to Rodeo Weekend in the town. Quite the gathering with horses, chuckwagons, old cars, marching bands, fire trucks.....in short, a real cacaphony of noise and fun. For the second year I was asked to drive the float. But this year has a bit of a twist. I had our parade veteran with me, Maccabee. He did a little time on the float with two of the Town's Councillors, had a meet-and-greet with Mayor Roy, smoozed with lots visiting dignitaries and out-of-towners....in short, he was Maccabee. And then he smiled at the kids all along the parade route. What a great day.
